Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh has confirmed he is open to meeting polarising star Israel Folau, labelling the one-time Wallabies fullback 'one of the great players of modern Australian rugby.' A face-to-face chat with Waugh would cap off a remarkable sporting U-turn, after Folau, 35, was terminated by RA in May of 2019 after a homophobic Instagram post. The explosive post at the time stated 'hell awaits' homosexuals and adulterers.
