Barcelona's Inigo Martinez breaks silence after claims he spat on Inter Milan player which ignited mid-game bust-up
Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez has responded to claims he spat at Inter Milan's Francesco Acerbi during their epic Champions League clash on Tuesday night. In the closing stages of the first half, Hakan Calhanoglu fired home a penalty to put Inter 2-0 up on the night and 5-3 ahead on aggregate, sparking jubilant scenes at San Siro. Acerbi was seen celebrating wildly as he ran past Martinez to celebrate with his team-mates, and TV cameras appeared to show Martinez reacting by spitting towards his opponent.
