Golf star Patton Kizzire withdraws from PGA Championship midway through second round
American golfer Patton Kizzire has withdrawn from the 2025 PGA Championship because of injury, it emerged on Friday morning. The 39-year-old, who is ranked No 141 in the world, shot a three-over-par 74 during Thursday's opening round. He then endured a nightmare start to his second round, hitting four bogeys and a double bogey in his first 10 holes, before pulling out. It is not the first time this year that Kizzire, who turned pro in 2008, has withdrawn from an event.
