On the season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, the most famous reality TV family said a fond farewell to the place where it all began — Eldorado Meadow, Kris Jenner's iconic Los Angeles property where they filmed Keeping Up With the Kardashians. While it was Caitlyn Jenner who was teased as one of the big surprise guests of the night, it wasRob Kardashianwho many were most excited to see.
"All my kids are here tonight — even Rob, which means the world to me," Jenner, 69, gushed to the camera in a clip shared on the Hulu series' official Instagram account on Wednesday, October 29. (For Kardashian fans who have been there since the beginning, they'll know the Eldorado Meadow house as the mansion that has the iconic black-and-white diamond-shaped tiles, which Kim Kardashian jokingly dubbed as "horrible" in her own confessional.)
While Rob Kardashian was a fixture on KUWTK for many seasons, Jenner's only son has famously opted to stay out of the spotlight for the majority of the past 10 years — making his appearance on the season premiere all the more elusive and intriguing.
Kim, for her part, discussed Rob's decision to return to the show for the episode, telling Andy Cohen that her brother is "so down" to be on-camera now, as long as he's in a "good headspace."

On the Tuesday, October 28 episode of Cohen's Radio Andy program, when asked if fans can expect Rob to be on more episodes of the show, Kim responded: "Yeah, he's into it!"
"If he's in the mood and in a good headspace to know that he wants to put himself out there ... he's so down," she explained. "And he's great and silly and it's just been a choice for him to just want to chill a little bit."
The SKIMS founder added: "Obviously we want to respect whoever doesn't want to be on," Kim explained. "All of us don't have to have the same dreams and goals. So, he changed his up a little bit and now, he's like, 'I don't mind it.'"

Kim was the one to reveal Rob's appearance on the show in the first place, confirming last month that her brother would be on season 7 of the Hulu hit.
As Rob eases his way back into the spotlight — not only did he break his own social media silence last week to celebrate Kim's 45th birthday, his ex, Blac Chyna, keeps hinting at a possible reconciliation of their romance — fans will remember why he chose to take a step back in the first place.
"I don't wanna be filming and putting myself in a position where I'm not comfortable," Rob told sister Khloé Kardashian on her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast over the summer, calling into the show. "I'm not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that's not what I want to do?"
Rob — who shares 8-year-old daughter Dream with Blac Chyna — previously discussed on a 2014 episode of KUWTK that he didn't feel comfortable being filmed with his shirt off due to his weight gain at the time; he also revealed that same year that the discomfort was the same reason he skipped Kim's wedding to Kanye West, with whom she shares four children. (The two divorced in 2022 after six years of marriage.)
That being said, Rob explained that there are situations where he is comfortable filming, just like Kim shared.
"If it's positive and natural and I'm feeling good about myself," he told Khloe on the July episode of her podcast. "I like being around my family so that stuff is good to me."
