At just 18 years old, the ex-Birmingham City academy footballer went on a night out in his hometown of Gloucester in which his life would be forever changed. The year was 2009 and Rutter, who was on the verge of the senior team at Birmingham, was celebrating a quarter-final FA Youth Cup win that would set up a tie with Liverpool at Anfield.
