Greg Norman's controversial reign over the LIV golf circuit is nearing a close with the breakaway series poised to appoint a new chief executive. The Australian has led the Saudi-backed tour since its inception in 2021 and has been one of the most divisive figures in the sport's civil war. With a ceasefire in the process of being ratified after 17 months of merger talks between the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, it has now emerged that LIV are set to appoint theme park boss Scot O'Neil in his place.
