Steve Kerr booed by Celtics fans in Boston over controversial Jayson Tatum decision at the Olympics
Boston fans audibly begrudged Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr for benching Celtics star Jason Tatum during the Olympics in Paris this summer. On Wednesday, the Celtics lost, 118-112, to the Dubs at TD Garden. However, it was much more than a regular season meeting as it marked the first time Tatum and Kerr crossed paths since the Paris games. Despite being fresh off winning the NBA title, Kerr decided to bench the Celtics poster boy for Team USA's opening and semifinal games against Serbia.
