
Derby left furious after Championship officials allow Norwich goal to stand despite ball clearly going out of play
There is no VAR in the Championship and that was good news for Norwich City on Saturday. Borja Sainz scored a controversial goal to give the Canaries a 1-0 lead away at Derby County just before half-time in one of the early kick-offs. The goal helped Norwich on their way to a 3-2 win as they recorded back-to-back victories for the first time since March. Sainz found the net with a clever flicked finish following a low cross from Josh Sargent, but the goal should not have stood because the ball had clearly gone out of play before the USA international had kicked it.
