Man United to consult fans on future of Old Trafford - as Sir Jim Ratcliffe sets deadline for decision on 100,000-capacity 'Wembley of the North' vision
Manchester United will ask fans for their opinion on the future of Old Trafford and plans to regenerate the area around the stadium in the next stage of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's vision to build a Wembley of the North. Ratcliffe is in favour of a brand new 100,000-capacity stadium, that would cost in excess of £2billion and could be ready by 2030. The other option is to redevelop Old Trafford, and United's co-owner wants an answer by the end of the year.
