Martin Odegaard undergoing further tests on ankle injury with Arsenal facing nervous wait over the length of his lay-off ahead of pivotal games against Tottenham and Man City
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has required further tests on his injured ankle following an inconclusive scan on Tuesday. There is hope, however, that the midfielder will not be a long-term absentee although the results of a scan he was due to undergo today should provide the full extent of the damage. The Gunners are eager not to put a timescale on his recovery, although it is clear he is a doubt for Sunday's clash against arch-rivals Tottenham.
