Glasgow Warriors say they are 'excited' that Scotstoun has been earmarked for development under plans for Glasgow's 2026 Commonwealth Games bid. Commonwealth Games Scotland chair Ian Reid told Mail Sport that 'multi-millions of pounds' would be invested into the facility, where it would be planned to host the athletics. 'Scotstoun currently has an athletics track,' said Reid, 'but it is not really utilised for any level of competition. It's obviously compromised during the year because of it being used by the rugby team.
